Refund Policy

No refunds will be given after program fees have been paid.

Application Fee

The application fee is non-refundable. If we complete a background check, process your application, and choose not to accept you, your application fee is not refunded. If you decide to cancel your application, your application fee is not refunded.

Airfare

OSSO cannot and does not offer any refunds for money spent on international airfare.

Volunteer Program Dismissal

Volunteers sent home for breaking the Code of Conduct, Photo Policy, or other terms and conditions are responsible for all fees associated with ticket changes and travel fees to leave early.

Leaving Early

No program fee refunds will be given to volunteers who choose to return home earlier than the date which they have previously committed to.

Emergency Situations

No program fee refunds will be given if volunteers are sent home or choose to go home early due to civil or political unrest, pandemics, natural disasters, or physical displacement due to facility damage. No exceptions. Volunteers will, however, be given the opportunity to return and finish their volunteer service once it is safe to do so.

Volunteers will be personally responsible for any fees associated with changing or purchasing flights home due to any of the reasons listed above. Volunteers will also be responsible for purchasing their own flights should they wish to return to Ecuador later and complete their volunteer service. OSSO will not cover these costs.
